Wrapping up New Vegas’s DLC run, Lonesome Road offers the player an end to his or her story in the Mojave Wasteland. Lonesome Road was by far the best-fitting DLC for New Vegas in that it embodied what the game stood for, the power of choice. A particularly enjoyable part of this expansion was that you had to fight for your freedom in the radiation-filled arena against the wasteland’s worst. Adding new weapons, armor, and a large cast of characters to the already expansive game, The Pitt gave players an engaging story and memorable recreation of Pittsburgh. As the second set of downloadable content released for Fallout 3, the player is captured and thrown into a conflict between the savage raiders who rule over The Pitt, and the slaves that they force to fight in their vicious arena. Let’s start our list off with a trip to a war-ravaged Pittsburgh. Additionally, I will only be focusing on the story driven DLC from both games, so any of the weapons and armor packs from New Vegas are out. For this list, I will be focusing on both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, as both games could go hand and hand.
